Turn your saves into a searchable second brain with Claude
Hey, it's Cindy ๐ฑ You commented VAULT, so here is how to turn your saved posts into a searchable second brain. This is the exact system behind my own content ideas dashboard.
btw the waitlist for AI System Club is now open! If you're keen on using AI to automate your content, video editing, job search, business or build AI agents, feel free to sign up (only if you want to hehe). Ps. the waitlist gets first dibs:)
the idea
What you are building
One dashboard that holds everything you saved, sorted into two clear buckets and tagged by theme, so you type a question in plain English and get the exact saved thing back.
โป๏ธ Recreate this Viral formats and hooks you could remake as your own content, each with a one-line idea for your version.
โ Follow this Tutorials turned into short numbered steps you will actually action, not just admire.
unlock the folder
Step 1: get the links out of your saved collection
Your Saved collection is private, so first you pull the reel links out of it. Pick whichever fits you:
๐งฉ Claude for Chrome (no code). Anthropic's official browser extension, in beta on the paid plans. Because it runs inside your logged-in browser, it can read your Saved folder and list every reel with its link.
๐ Or copy them (zero setup). Open each save, tap the three dots, and Copy link.
scrape it all at once
Step 2: pull every transcript with Apify
๐ Open the actor. On Apify, open the Instagram Reel Scraper (apify/instagram-reel-scraper).
๐ฅ Paste your links. Drop your reel links into the input, turn on Include transcript, and run it.
โฌ๏ธ Download the results. You now have the transcript of every saved reel in one file, no rewatching.
What it costs: about $2.60 per 1,000 reels, plus roughly $0.048 per transcript minute. The free tier ($5/month credit, no card) covers around 100 transcribed reels a month.
the part that matters
Step 3: sort every save by intent
This is what turns a pile into a plan. Hand the transcripts to Claude:
๐ฏ sort recreate vs follow
Take these reel transcripts and split them into two groups. Group A, "recreate this": posts whose format or hook I could remake, each with a one-line idea for my own version. Group B, "follow this": tutorials or how-tos, each rewritten as a short numbered step list I can action. Tag every item with 1 to 3 topic themes.
give it a home
Step 4: drop it into a searchable Notion dashboard
๐ Get it as Markdown. Ask Claude to output the sorted, tagged list as clean Markdown.
๐๏ธ Paste it into Notion. Make a database with columns for Item, Type (recreate or follow), Theme, Link, and Next step, then paste it in.
๐ Query it in plain English. From now on you ask a question and the exact saved thing comes back, sorted and ready to use.
๐ make it a searchable doc
Output everything as clean Markdown for a Notion database: columns for Item, Type (recreate or follow), Theme tags, Link, and one Next step. Put a tag index at the top so I can scan by theme.
the honest bit
Good to know
Apify scrapes public reels only, so the get-the-links step is what unlocks a private folder. Music-only reels come back with an empty transcript, so there is nothing to sort for those. And nothing runs in the background: you bring your fresh saves to the pipeline, it does not go fetch them on its own.
