the outcome

What you get

A verified Instagram platform property, a clean export of Google queries and landing posts, and a repeatable content-opportunity report.

Use the guide in order. Gather the real inputs, run the prompts against those inputs, inspect the evidence, then make one reviewable change at a time.

start here

Set it up step by step

  1. Open Google Search Console and choose Add property. Look for the platform-property option, then select Instagram.
  2. Sign in to the correct Instagram account and complete ownership verification. Add each platform account separately.
  3. Wait a few days for data. Platform properties report Google Search performance, not reach inside Instagram.
  4. Open Performance and Insights. Compare queries, pages or posts, country, device, and date ranges. Export at least 90 days when available.
  5. Give the export to Claude with the prompt below, then choose topics where impressions are rising but clicks or coverage are weak.

Turn Search Console data into a reel plan

📋 copy this
You are analysing my Google Search Console export for an Instagram platform property. Treat it as Google Search data only, not Instagram feed analytics. Group queries by intent and topic, then map each query to the post URL that currently appears. Build four tables: rising queries, high-impression low-click opportunities, posts already winning search, and important audience questions with no matching post. For every recommendation, quote the exact query and its impressions, clicks, CTR, position, country, device, and date range. Propose ten reel titles that answer the query plainly, without promising rankings. Mark any conclusion that has too little data.

check the work

Quality gate before you trust it

1 The property URL matches the exact Instagram account Cindy controls.
2 Reports are labelled Google Search, not Instagram feed analytics.
3 Every content recommendation traces back to a visible query and date range.
4 The guide does not claim that adding a property changes ranking. It only unlocks measurement.
5 Rollout limitation is stated if the platform-property option is absent.
6 Save the source links, as-of date, and final evidence beside the output so another person can reproduce the check.

verify it

Sources and current documentation

Guardrail. Search Console reports discovery on Google, not reach inside Instagram. Verification does not improve rankings, and the platform-property feature is still rolling out. Use the data to choose clearer topics, then judge the finished post with both Google and Instagram analytics.

keep it useful

Save the evidence with the workflow

Save the prompt with the source links and the date you verified them. When the tool, policy, price, interface, or documentation changes, update the guide before you reuse the workflow. Keep the inputs and outputs beside the project so the next run can be checked instead of reconstructed from memory.
