Hey, it's Cindy 🌱 The reel showed the fastest method: open ChatGPT, switch to Work (agent) mode, paste your product links, and ask it to find every discount code.
btw the waitlist for AI System Club is now open! If you're keen on using AI to automate your content, video editing, job search, business or build AI agents, feel free to sign up (only if you want to hehe). Ps. the waitlist gets first dibs:)
What this is. 50 more ways to hunt, stack and time discounts, grouped so you can grab the one you need. Most work on any store, a few are Australia-specific (marked AU), and nearly all of it is free.
ai does the hunting
6 ways to make AI do the hunting
Run the hunt in Claude or Gemini too No paid ChatGPT agent mode? Paste the product link into Claude or Gemini and ask for every currently circulating code for that store plus the source of each, so you can eyeball which are real before checkout.
Rank codes by real savings, not headline percent A "20% off" code can beat a "$30 off" code or lose to it depending on cart size. Give the AI your exact cart total and ask it to calculate the dollar saving of each.
Make AI verify a code before you rely on it Old codes clog every coupon site. Ask the AI to check the store's own live coupon page and dated forum threads and say which codes worked in the last few weeks.
Find the cheapest legitimate seller, not just a code Ask AI to compare the same product across the brand's site, Amazon, eBay, and any authorised retailer, including shipping.
Surface first-order and student angles you would miss Ask directly: "what are all the ways a new customer or a student could get a discount at this store?"
Turn AI into your price-history reader Paste an Amazon link and ask AI to read the CamelCamelCamel or Keepa history: is today's price actually low, or is the "sale" the normal price with a fake strike-through? (Paste a screenshot of the chart if it cannot pull live data.)
copy-paste prompts
5 prompts to paste straight in
find + rank codes
I want to buy [product] from [store URL]. Find every discount code that appears to be currently active, list the source you found each one on, and rank them by the actual dollar saving on a cart of $[amount]. Flag any code you are not confident is still live.
verify a code
Here is a coupon code: [CODE] for [store]. Check whether it looks currently valid (recent mentions, the store's own coupon page, any expiry). Tell me yes/no and why, and suggest a better one if it is dead.
cheapest seller
I'm buying [product]. Compare the total delivered price (item + shipping + any code) across the brand's own site, Amazon, eBay, and any other authorised seller in Australia. Show me the cheapest legitimate option.
read the price history
Explain this Amazon price history for me: [paste CamelCamelCamel or Keepa screenshot or data]. Is today's price genuinely low versus the last 12 months, or is the discount misleading? What price should I wait for?
every angle
What are ALL the ways a new customer, a student, or a returning shopper could get money off at [store]? Include signup offers, student programs, app-only deals, cashback sites, bundles, and price-match policies.
extensions that auto-apply codes
6 extensions that apply codes for you
Capital One Shopping Free browser extension (US-based but works on many international carts) that tests coupon codes at checkout automatically and flags cheaper sellers. No Capital One account required. This is the reel's fallback.
Coupert Free extension that auto-applies codes at checkout, shows a community success rate next to each code, and layers its own cashback on top.
Cently Free auto-apply coupon extension for Chrome that tests codes in the background at checkout.
RetailMeNot Deal Finder The RetailMeNot browser extension that pops up known codes for the store you are on and can auto-apply them.
Karma Free extension (formerly Shoptagr) that tracks price drops on saved items and applies coupons at checkout, so it doubles as a wishlist and code hunter.
Run two and let them compete Install Capital One Shopping plus Coupert or RetailMeNot, run one at checkout, note the price, then run the other. Different code pools, so the winner surprises you.
Know the PayPal Honey catch. Honey auto-applies codes but has been widely criticised for not always surfacing the genuine best code and for overwriting creators' affiliate credit. Treat it as one input, not the final word.
Always do one manual search anyway. Extensions miss store-specific and influencer codes. Before you pay, search "[store] discount code 2026" and check the brand's own Instagram and TikTok bio, where creator codes live.
stack cashback on top
Stack cashback under the code
Cashrewards (AU) Free Australian cashback site and app. Click through to the store from Cashrewards first and a percentage of your spend comes back as cash. Stacks with most codes.
ShopBack (AU) The other major Australian cashback platform, often different rates and partner stores than Cashrewards, so check both.
TopCashback and Rakuten For US and UK retailers, these often carry cashback the AU sites do not (Rakuten is US-focused).
Watch for boosted windows Cashback sites run "double cashback" promos, often around big sale events. Wait for a boosted window on a non-urgent buy.
Card-linked offers as a third layer Some Australian banks and card programs attach retailer offers you activate in-app before you spend, stacking on top of a code and a cashback site.
Amex and Chase Offers In the US, Amex and Chase let you "add" merchant offers in-app for an automatic statement credit. Activate before buying.
Check both cashback sites every time. Rates change constantly and one frequently beats the other for a given store that week. A 15-second compare can be the difference between 2% and 10% back.
Click cashback last, code first. Apply your code in the cart, then make sure your final click through to the store came from the cashback link, and do not open other tabs on the way to checkout (it can break tracking).
track the price, not the code
Track the price, not the code
CamelCamelCamel Free Amazon price-history site and extension. See whether today's price is genuinely low and set an email alert for your target price.
Keepa The most detailed Amazon price tracker, with graphs covering third-party and warehouse prices, plus a chart overlay on every product page.
Google Shopping tracking On a product in Google Shopping, turn on "Track price" and Google emails you when it falls. No extension needed.
Catch fake sales A strike-through "was $200, now $120" means nothing if it was $120 for months. The Camelizer or Keepa history overlay exposes fake anchors.
Karma drop alerts For non-Amazon retailers, save the item in Karma and it watches that store for the price to fall.
Screenshot for a price-adjustment claim Save a dated screenshot of what you paid; if it drops within the store's window, many retailers refund the difference on request.
Set the alert and wait. For anything non-urgent, patience beats coupons. Set a drop alert, forget it, and buy when it hits.
unlock hidden discounts
12 hidden discounts most people miss
Trigger the abandoned-cart email Add the item to your cart while logged in or with your email entered, then leave for a day or two. Many stores email a 10 to 15% "come back" code.
Newsletter signup code Sign up to the brand's email list before buying for an instant welcome code. Use a dedicated email address.
SMS signup for a bigger code Many brands offer a separate, sometimes larger discount for joining their text list. Sign up to both and use the bigger.
UNiDAYS student pricing Free student platform; verify once and unlock ongoing student pricing at hundreds of brands you would never find as a public code.
Student Beans The other big student verification network, with a different roster of partner brands than UNiDAYS.
Youth and worker verification Some brands use ID-verification to offer discounts to students, under-26s, teachers, or healthcare and defence workers. Check if you fit a category.
Gift-card discount marketplaces Sites like CardCash and Raise sell discounted gift cards for major retailers. Buy below face value and pay with it for a quiet few percent off, stackable with a code. Use well-known platforms and check buyer protection.
Clearance and outlet URLs Search "[brand] outlet", "[brand] sale", or "[brand] clearance", or add /sale or /outlet to the store URL, for last-season stock at a permanent discount.
Amazon Warehouse Sells returned and open-box items, often "used like new", at a real discount. Check "Other sellers" and Warehouse listings for the same product cheaper.
Back Market and refurbished For electronics, certified-refurbished units (Back Market, or the maker's own refurb store like Apple Certified Refurbished) are much cheaper than new and come with a warranty.
eBay refurbished eBay's refurbished program grades items with seller warranties, and eBay runs frequent sitewide coupon codes on top. A deep stack.
Just ask support for a code Open live chat or email and politely ask if there is a current promotion or first-order code, or say you are deciding between them and a competitor. Sales teams often hand one over.
timing and policies
Timing and policy plays
Use the price-match policy Many retailers match a lower price at a named competitor if you show the listing (Officeworks in Australia advertises beating a competitor's price by a set margin). Find a cheaper legitimate listing and ask.
Claim a price adjustment If the price drops within the store's stated window (often a week or two), contact support with your order and the new price and ask for the difference. Your dated screenshot is the evidence.
Annual vs monthly On subscriptions, switching from monthly to annual billing is usually a large discount versus 12 monthly payments. Check the annual price before committing.
Cancel-flow retention offers Starting the cancellation flow on an existing subscription often triggers a "stay" discount or free months. Only do this if you would genuinely consider leaving.
Time it to the sale calendar The deepest discounts cluster on known events: Black Friday and Cyber Monday (late November), Boxing Day (26 December in Australia), end-of-financial-year sales (June in Australia), and Amazon Prime Day (mid-year).
End-of-season clearance Retailers slash prices at season change and when a product line is discontinued. Last season's model is the same product for far less.
OzBargain and Slickdeals OzBargain is the Australian community that crowd-sources and votes up genuine deals and codes in real time (Slickdeals is the US equivalent). Search or set an alert.
Pay-with-X promos Check for "pay with PayPal for X off" or bank-app pay promos at checkout; separate from coupon codes and they stack. They rotate, so glance at the payment step.
The incognito myth, checked honestly. Shopping in incognito or after clearing cookies rarely changes a retail price; prices are set by the store, not your browser. Where it can matter: flights and hotels sometimes vary, and clearing cart cookies can re-trigger an abandoned-cart email (hack 30). Put your energy into stacking instead.
Pick two or three to stack on your next order (a code, a cashback click, and good timing) and you will almost never pay the sticker price again 💡 Follow @cindiezhu for more AI you can actually use, and grab the rest at the free guides page 🌱
