The profile-to-client checklist

Hey, it's Cindy ๐ŸŒฑ A client who could pay you well does not scroll your profile, they click, skim, and decide in seconds. So your profile is really a silent sales page. This is the exact checklist I run to make each part sell the click, plus the copy-paste Claude prompts I use to sharpen it. This is positioning, not a redesign, so no new headshot needed. Checked and current on 2026-07-14.
start here

First, the reframe ๐Ÿงฒ

Before you touch anything: stop treating your profile like an "about me" and start treating it like a landing page. Every section either earns the enquiry or loses it. You are not decorating, you are removing every reason for a good client to keep scrolling.

the hook

1. The headline: specific attracts, vague repels ๐ŸŽฏ

Your headline is the one line that decides whether they read the rest. Vague sounds safe and gets ignored. Specific feels risky and gets remembered.

โŒ Weak: "Marketing consultant, helping brands grow."
โœ… Strong: "I help SaaS founders turn cold traffic into booked calls."

The formula: I help (who) get (result) through (your method).

Claude prompt:

๐ŸŽฏ Five sharper headlines, ranked
Here is my current headline: "[paste it]".
My ideal client is [who] and the result they want is [result].
Rewrite it 5 ways using this formula: "I help [who] get [result]
through [my method]." Make each version specific, not generic.
Then tell me which one is sharpest and why.

2. The bio: do not introduce yourself, sell the click โœ๏ธ

Nobody hires you because you listed your job title. They hire the outcome. Your bio's only job is to make them want to know more.

Try this shape:

  • I help (audience) stop (the thing they hate) and start (the thing they want).
  • You do not need (the expensive obvious fix). You need (your specific method).

That last line is the hook: it names the thing only you do, so they click to find out what it is.

Claude prompt:

โœ๏ธ Three bios in your own voice, trimmed hard
Write my bio using this shape:
"I help [audience] stop [pain] and start [result].
You do not need [obvious fix]. You need [my method]."
Here are a few things I have written before so you can match my
voice: [paste 2-3 short samples].
Give me 3 versions, then cut every line that does not make a
buyer want to know more.

the proof

3. Your proof stack: make it easy to say yes ๐Ÿ†

This is where a curious visitor becomes an enquiry. Three moves:

  • Offers: name them clearly so each buyer knows exactly where to click. One vague "let's work together" loses people who would have paid.
  • Wins: pin 2 to 3 real, concrete results, not a wall of website links.
  • Reviews: ask past clients to name the exact problem you solved, not just "great work". A specific review does the selling for you.
The golden rule: sell the outcome, not the feature list. "Fewer no-shows" beats "calendar setup" every time.

4. Show up like the expert ๐Ÿ“ธ

Before anyone enquires, they run a quiet background check: they scroll your recent posts and comments. That feed is part of your profile whether you like it or not.

  • Post real systems and takes, not motivational filler.
  • Comment with a genuine insight, not "great post".
  • Use real photos of you, not stock. Trust comes from a face.
  • Consistency beats bursts: two thoughtful comments a day beats one post a month.

gut check

5. The fun part: let Claude roast your profile, then fix it ๐Ÿ”ฅ

This is the fastest gut-check I know. Screenshot your whole profile, drop it into Claude, and ask it to be brutally honest as if a picky, high-paying client is reading it.

Claude prompt:

๐Ÿ”ฅ An honest roast plus the rewrites, in one pass
Here are screenshots of my whole profile.
Roast it hard, as if you are a picky high-paying client
deciding whether to reach out. Be specific about what is
vague, what is missing, and what makes you want to close the tab.
Then rewrite my headline, bio, and offers so that exact
person would want to contact me.

You get an honest gut-check and the fixes in one pass.

Two honest notes: Claude reads uploaded screenshots on the free plan, but free has daily usage limits, so a long roast-and-rewrite session may pause you until it resets. And if your profile is long, send 2 to 3 clear screenshots instead of one tiny full-page one, so nothing small gets missed.

last checks

Your 60-second audit โœ…

Run these questions on your profile right now:

  1. Does my headline name a specific who, result, and method?
  2. Does my bio sell the click, or just describe me?
  3. Are my offers named clearly enough that a buyer knows where to click?
  4. Do I have 2 to 3 concrete wins visible, not a link dump?
  5. Do my recent posts and comments make me look like the expert?
  6. Would a picky, high-paying client stop scrolling and reach out?
Any "no" is your next 20 minutes. Fix that one, then move to the next.
