Every course on Claude Academy follows the same shape, so once you have done one you know the whole system. And the "free" claim is not mine, it is Anthropic's, printed on the Academy FAQ: "Academy certificates of completion (badges) are free and are earned by passing a course's quizzes on academy.claude.com. The Claude certification exams are a separate paid, proctored program."

What it is. The everyday-Claude course, and the only one here that works start to finish on a free Claude account. Better prompts, Projects, artifacts, Skills, connectors and Research.
What it actually teaches. Not "what is AI". It teaches the parts of Claude most people never open: keeping context in a Project instead of re-explaining yourself every chat, getting a real artifact out instead of a wall of text, and connecting Claude to the tools you already use.
What you walk away with. A completion badge, and the reason every other day on this list makes sense.
The honest bit. The stated requirement is "a Claude account on any plan (Free, Pro, Max, Team, or Enterprise)" and "no prior experience with Claude or other AI assistants needed". A couple of lessons demonstrate features that live on paid or Team plans, but you can complete the course and earn the badge on the free tier.

What it is. The 4D framework applied to actual business work: research, customer data and day-to-day operations, plus the data hygiene and privacy side that most AI content skips entirely.
What it actually teaches. How to decide what to hand to AI and what to keep, using a repeatable framework rather than instinct. The customer-data lessons are the useful ones, because that is where most people quietly do something they should not.
What you walk away with. A completion badge, and a defensible answer when someone at work asks whether it is safe to put company information into Claude.
The honest bit. The page recommends doing "AI Fluency: Framework and Foundations" first for a deeper understanding. It is a recommendation, not a gate, and this course covers the foundations lightly on its own. It also suggests having an AI tool open for practice, which the free tier covers.

What it is. The longest day of the week and the most academically serious thing on this list. It was written and developed by Anthropic in partnership with Professor Rick Dakan from Ringling College of Art and Design and Professor Joseph Feller from University College Cork.
What it actually teaches. The Creative Value Lens and the Production Lens: two ways of deciding where AI genuinely helps a creative process, and where handing it over costs you the thing that made the work yours. This is the course for anyone who makes things for a living and is nervous about the answer.
What you walk away with. A completion badge, and two named frameworks you can actually cite, from two real universities.
The honest bit. Five hours is a lot for one evening. Split it across two nights, or move it to a weekend day and shuffle a shorter course into the midweek slot. Like days 2 and 4, this one recommends "AI Fluency: Framework and Foundations" first.
Open the course 路 9 lessons 路 3 hr 路 completion badge
What it is. The course about taking something from a customer problem to a shipped product with AI in the loop, without shipping something broken.
What it actually teaches. Decomposing a real problem, writing acceptance tests before any code exists, and judging AI output through a set of lenses rather than by whether it looks right. The lessons "Discernment for code", "Discernment for user experience" and "Stand behind what you build" are the spine of it.
What you walk away with. A completion badge, and the habit that separates people who ship AI-assisted work from people who ship AI-assisted bugs.
The honest bit. Same recommended prerequisite as day 2, and the same suggestion to have an AI tool open while you work through it. You do not need to be a developer, but the examples lean toward building software.

What it is. The proper introduction to Claude Code, which is Claude running in your terminal with access to your actual files instead of in a chat window.
What it actually teaches. The explore, plan, code, commit workflow, the context window and how to stop wasting it, the CLAUDE.md file, subagents, Skills, MCP and hooks. This is the densest 90 minutes on the entire list.
What you walk away with. A completion badge, and the reason people who use Claude Code stop using the chat window for real work.

What it is. The shortest day of the week and the direct follow-on from day 5. It is about long, hands-off sessions: setting Claude Code running on something real and having it still be right when you come back.
What it actually teaches. Steering long sessions, writing a CLAUDE.md that actually gets followed, permission modes, routines and headless runs, GitHub Actions and code review, and plugins.
What you walk away with. A completion badge, and the part almost nobody learns, which is how to verify work you did not watch happen.
The honest bit. This is the hardest course here for a non-technical viewer, and the page says so in its own way: it assumes "you already use Claude Code for single prompts" and expects basic familiarity with Git and the command line. Do day 5 first and it is manageable. Skip day 5 and it will not be.
All three AI Fluency courses here, days 2, 3 and 4, recommend doing "AI Fluency: Framework and Foundations" first. I am not going to hide that, because it changes how you plan the week.
It is a recommendation rather than a hard gate, so you can start at day 2 without it. You will just be picking up the 4D framework as you go instead of having it already.
Everything on Claude Academy that carries a badge works the same way, so a swap is easy. Both of these also end in a completion badge.
You can see the whole library, with the lesson count, duration and badge status on every tile, on the Claude Academy catalog.
