Here's the full list from the reel, with the direct links and an honest note on each one. I checked every single one myself: these are genuinely free, certificate included, no "free to audit then pay for the paper" trap. Start with the Anthropic one and you could have a real, LinkedIn ready certificate by tonight. ๐ฑ
the shortlist
The 5 certificates (in the order I'd do them)
1. Anthropic, AI Fluency: Framework and Foundations ๐ฅ
- ๐ https://anthropic.skilljar.com/ai-fluency-framework-foundations
- โ
Free, certificate included (the button literally says "Register FREE"). Email signup only, no card, no Claude subscription.
- โฑ๏ธ About 2 to 4 hours.
- ๐ Teaches the 4D framework (Delegation, Description, Discernment, Diligence) for working with AI properly, and hands you a real certificate with a verification URL. Start here: it makes every other tool on this list more useful.
2. Microsoft + LinkedIn, Career Essentials in Generative AI ๐ผ
3. Kaggle, Intro to Machine Learning ๐ง
- ๐ https://www.kaggle.com/learn/intro-to-machine-learning
- โ
Free certificate, issued automatically at the end. Needs a free Google or Kaggle account.
- โฑ๏ธ About 3 to 4 hours. The cleanest "one afternoon" win on the list.
- ๐ Hands on: you build your first real models in the browser (the code is guided, so you don't need to already know Python). Great for the girl in tech flex.
4. IBM SkillsBuild, AI Fundamentals ๐ค
- ๐ https://skillsbuild.org/adult-learners/explore-learning/artificial-intelligence
- โ
Free, and it issues a verified IBM digital badge through Credly at no cost.
- โฑ๏ธ About 10 to 20 hours (the biggest one here, so give it the bulk of a day).
- ๐ AI concepts, natural language processing, computer vision, machine learning, neural networks, chatbots and AI ethics. The IBM badge looks great on a profile.
5. University of Helsinki, Elements of AI ๐
- ๐ https://www.elementsofai.com/
- โ
Free digital certificate (the Introduction to AI course), sharable straight to LinkedIn.
- โฑ๏ธ Self paced. It's officially framed as longer, so treat it as the one you start this weekend and finish across the week if you run out of time.
- ๐ A calm, no maths, no code intro to what AI actually is. University backed, which is a nice credibility flex.
the weekend plan
How to actually finish them this weekend
- ๐ Saturday morning: Anthropic AI Fluency (warm up, fast win).
- ๐ Saturday afternoon: Kaggle Intro to ML, then start IBM SkillsBuild.
- ๐ Sunday: finish IBM, then Microsoft + LinkedIn Career Essentials.
- ๐ Rolling: Elements of AI whenever you have a spare hour.
- ๐ Add each one to the Licenses and certifications section of LinkedIn as you finish it, that's where they actually get seen.
One honest note ๐
I left Google AI Essentials off on purpose. It's only free to audit, and the actual certificate sits behind Coursera's paid plan (about $49 per month). Everything on this list gives you the certificate for free.
