the basics
🧠 What is a Claude "code," really?
A Claude "code" is just a keyword you drop in front of (or after) your prompt that tells Claude how to think, how to talk, or what shape the answer should take.
They aren't magic. They aren't hidden buttons. They're just patterns Claude is really good at following, most people just don't know they exist.
Two simple rules:
⬅️ Prefix codes go before your prompt → they change Claude's brain (how it thinks).
➡️ Suffix codes go after your prompt → they change the output (what comes back).
You can also stack them. BLUNT + TLDR + 3X = honest, short, three versions. That's where it gets fun.
⚡ How to use these (30-second setup)
- Open Claude (claude.ai or the app, both work).
- Type the code in caps, then your prompt.
- Hit send. That's it.

🥞 How to stack codes (the real cheat code)
Stacking is where the magic actually happens.
- 💌 Lazy email day:
BRUTAL + EMAIL + TIGHTEN → "tell my client we're delaying the deliverable, but make it sound human."
- 🎯 Stuck on strategy:
L99 + PREMORTEM + BULLETS → "I want to launch a paid community at $47/month. Tell me why it fails."
- 🪄 Repurpose machine: any reel script +
REPURPOSE → boom, 5 platforms in one go.
The rule: prefix codes go first, then your prompt, then suffix codes at the end. Like this:
[BRAIN CODE] + [VOICE CODE]: your actual prompt → [OUTPUT FORMAT CODE]
💾 Save these somewhere you'll actually use them
- 📌 Pin this page to your sidebar.
- 📝 Copy your top 10 into a sticky note on your desktop.
- 📱 Screenshot the marketing section for your phone, those are the daily-driver ones.
You don't need all 100. You need 10 you actually use. Start there. ✨
