Deleting your data
Effective 13 October 2026
Hi, it's Cindy 🌱 You can ask me to delete your information at any time, and it's free. This covers anything I hold from my Instagram accounts, my Facebook Page, my website, my emails, AI System Club and my app, Cindy Zhu Publisher.
How to ask
- Just ask. Email hello@cindyzhu.com.au with the subject "Delete my data".
- Tell me where we've talked. For example, your Instagram username or the email address you signed up with.
- I check it's you. I may ask you to reply from that same email address or Instagram account, so nobody else can delete your information.
- I let you know. I'll message you once it's done, within one month.
What I delete
- Your message and comment records in my own tools, including my AI assistant's records.
- Your contact record in my keyword reply tool.
- Your email address and email history.
- Your waitlist sign-ups from my website.
- Any notes about you, and anything about you from my content research.
- Your AI System Club profile and posts, if you ask.
What I may need to keep
- A basic purchase record (name, email, what you bought, the amount and the date), because tax law requires it, usually for 5 years.
- A one-line "do not email" record, so I never add you back by mistake.
- Anything I need to resolve a dispute or follow the law.
I'll tell you if any of these apply to you.
What I can't delete for you
- Messages in your own Instagram inbox. Instagram also keeps its own copies under its own policy. You can delete your own comments at any time.
- Payment records kept by Stripe for its own legal duties. You can ask Stripe directly.
About my app
My app, Cindy Zhu Publisher, connects only to my own Instagram account and Facebook Page, through Meta's official tools. You never log in to it or give it access to your account, so there's nothing for you to remove. If you've messaged me or commented on my posts, the steps above delete what my tools hold about you.
Handy to know: if you've ever connected an app to your own Instagram account and want to remove it, go to Settings, then Website permissions, then Apps and websites. On Facebook, go to Settings and privacy, then Settings, then Apps and websites.
Questions? Read my privacy policy, or just email me at hello@cindyzhu.com.au and I'll help.
